Wabano invites you to a special Cultural Safety Training Sept 7, 2017 at the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health on 299 Montreal Road, Ottawa Ontario.
This training will be highly interactive, providing a unique Indigenous learning experience that will explore our stories of creation, history, and cultures.

As Canada moves towards reconciliation with Indigenous people, we are reflecting on the narratives that have shaped our country and the systems within it.
This Training provides:
- The definitions of cultral awareness, cultural sensitivity, cultural competency, cultural safety and how they are connected.
- Stories that inform our collective culture in Canada.
- How our own individual stories and culture inform how we provide care to our clients.
- Practical information on creating a culturally safe workplace.
